"Proud to be a Numerican" FREE download press release.

Numerics Releases "Proud to be a Numerican" for free download.

Nashville, TN - October 23, 2009 - Rock duo Numerics has released its debut collection titled "Proud to be a Numerican." The songs are available for free download on their homepage numericsband.com

This project has been a long time coming for this Memphis born, Nashville raised outfit. Members Parrish and Lloyd began writing these songs just over two years ago in Memphis where a majority of "Proud to be a Numerican" was recorded. About this lead vocalist and bassist Parrish says, "It took a while, but now it is finally available. We worked very hard on this, ensuring that quality for the listener was priority number one." The band relocated to Nashville in the Spring of 2008, where they felt more comfortable basing their new musical venture and more capable of completing their debut.

The lead track for this release, "Precious Time," which won several awards for its accompanying music video, is about "human connections," says guitarist and vocalist Lloyd. Other tracks include "Your Favorite Two," and "The Storm (In Your Eyes)." Lloyd says of the tracks,"Our goal was to put together a collection of songs that were consistent in their quality and also varied in their sensibilities. The songs also provide a framework from which to grow."

The band will be releasing hard copy CD's with packaging and bonus tracks. Also, upcoming for Numerics is a short film documentary titled "A Matter of Combustion." This documentary will give an overview of the recording of "Proud to be a Numerican."

"Precious Time" video wins award.

Numerics Brings Home Gold At Hermes

Indie Rock finds home at Hermes Awards

Nashville, TN (05.04.09) Nashville based independent recording
artists Numerics received The Golden Hermes Award for its debut
music video
“Precious Time.” The award winning video was directed
by Cameron McCasland
and produced by Michael Creason of New
Valiant Productions.

Numerics is a collaboration of Memphis natives Parrish and Lloyd.
Together
they are making music that thrives in recorded formats
and captivates
listeners in live settings. Numerics concentrates on
concise song
arrangements, imaginative lyrics, and distinct tonal
qualities.

Numerics' Lloyd said of the award, “We are glad to get a Hermes
because it
acknowledges forward thinking and the use of new media
to connect with your
audience. As a new band, the Internet is the
best way for us to get the
word out, and this is recognition that we're
on the right track."

“Precious Time” was launched on the web in early April and climbed
the
myspace.com video charts into the top 40. The debut video is the
first
single from their upcoming album “Proud to Be a Numerican”
which will be
released in the summer of 2009.

“Precious Time” was begun in Memphis with experimental audio
engineer Daniel
Lynn. After tracking the album in Memphis, Numerics
brought the project to
Nashville, utilizing legendary Soundstage
Studios and a close working
relationship with expert mixing engineer
Stephen Jones to complete “Proud to
Be a Numerican.” The video
for “Precious Time” was directed by Cameron
McCasland and
produced by Michael Creason in the band's home state of

Tennessee along the music highway between Nashville and Memphis.

The Hermes Awards are administered and judged by the Association
of
