Updates 21 JULY 2011

Since last posting here, there have been some developments in the world of Numerics. To bring you up to speed, we are going to cover them in chronological order.

We played an acoustic show at Red Rooster in Nashville as part of Ditto Music's Live Battle of the Bands series. We came in second on our night, and had alot of great support from alot of great people. If you were there, we sincerely appreciate your attendance, attention, and vote. If you weren't, you should have been. We won't hold it against you though. Here is video from that night.

Back in November 2010, we traveled to Chicago, Illinois, to record at Tesla Studios. We recorded a song called "Reminder", a song about reminding yourself to live in the present tense. It was a really great experience. We have mastered the song, and it is now available on our channels. Click the picture for a FREE download of the song. While you're at it, admire Kyle Kelly's design for the cover.

We have provided our Facebook page, Twitter page, and Homepage with facelifts in light of this new material. Please give them a look, and like and/or follow us if you are not doing so already.

Lastly, we are playing a FREE show in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Friday July 29, 2011 at The Boro.

Thanks for your attention.

"Through the Cracks" music video

Hey, here's our video for the song "Through the Cracks" We filmed it last year in Nashville, TN. We shot half of it in our old residence and the other half in our new habitat. Once again, we had Cameron McCasland directing and calling the shots. Working with Cameron is always a pleasure and its always cool to see what we can come up with together. This video features 3 actors, Hannah Paulson, Devin Vaughan, and Pavanh Sivongxay. They did a great job. It was our first time to use actors in a video, but we feel they really gave this video the extra something it needed.

The story behind the video is about a person who undergoes a type of voluntary science experiment. Once she hears the songs, she begins to see things. The results of the experiment are the hallucinations and disarray that follows. The concept is pretty out there, but we felt it fit well with the chaotic nature of the song.

We were really pleased to get 200 views in 2 days on Youtube. Especially after the work and energy we put into it. Check it out, leave a comment, let us know what you think.

Also, the record "Proud to be a Numerican" which features this song, "Through the Cracks" is available for free download here FREEmusic.Numericsband.com

Live & Acoustic

Hello Everyone,

We wanted to let you know that we have a new release available for download. Once again, its free.

Back in August we went down to Atlanta to play an acoustic set at Smith's Olde Bar. We recorded the show, and wanted to share the songs with you. Each song can be found on our debut release "Proud to be a Numerican." However, we changed the feel and arrangement of the songs to give them a more unplugged vibe.

Please download the songs, listen, and let us know what you think. Just go to the link below.

Also, we have a new video coming out in the next month or so. It is for the song "Through the Cracks" and was directed by filmmaker Cameron McCasland. We will also be releasing a 2 song electric single, an album of studio acoustic recordings, and a special one song single that we will be recording in Chicago. More details soon.

In the meantime find us on twitter, facebook, and youtube.

We would love to hear from you.

Enjoy your day,

New songs, new video, new masters, Numerics.

We have released the mastered version of “Proud to be a Numerican.” We could not be happier with the way the mastering brought out the details in our songs. Finally the songs are in their final form and you can download the new versions here.

This updated version was mastered at Soundstage Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, with Randy LeRoy and it includes two new instrumental tracks. The instrumentals are titled “Elefantes em Marcha” and “10 lbs.”

A documentary that we filmed while recording and mixing the record called “A Matter of Combustion” has been posted and it can be seen here. Making the record was a lot of work, and we wanted to give you a glimpse into our recording process. Many thanks to Cameron McCasland for coming into the studio and making it happen.

We are really pleased with how these two projects turned out, and we are very glad to share them with you.

You are always hearing from us, but we want to hear more from you. Let us know what you think of our songs, our videos, our posts.
We need some feedback.

Music Video Shoot, Upcoming Shows

On Tuesday night, we completed shooting for a music video for our song "Through The Cracks" with our friend and director Cameron McCasland. We began filming on this video a while back and were able to complete the final sections in our rehearsal space. The concept is dreamy and scientific.

We have been concentrating on wrapping up some projects that we will be releasing over the coming months with incentives going to our existing mailing list members, so if you have not signed up...go ahead and do so to get a leg up on experiencing our latest material.

We have some live appearances coming up. We are playing a private party in Nashville on July 10 and in Atlanta at Smith's Olde Bar on August 15. Those of you in Atlanta, or knowing people in Atlanta, pass on the good news.

"Proud to be a Numerican" gets Mastered

Hello, hope this finds you well. We have had a good couple of months. February marked our first four shows, and it was great to play our songs live. Go to our videos page at http://numericsband.com/videos.html to watch a video from our very first show.

We used March to write a couple of new songs, and will be debuting at least one of them Saturday May 1st at the Hard Rock Cafe here in Nashville.

Also, today is an exciting day as our album "Proud to be a Numerican" is being mastered in preparation for its physical release. We are working with Randy LeRoy who has worked on over 600 albums. Check out some of the work he has done at http://www.albumcredits.net/Profile/97152

Very soon we will be announcing some summer dates, as well as releasing a new video for our song "Through the Cracks," a studio documentary on the making of "Proud to be a Numerican" and the CD version of our debut album.

Thank YOU.
